The APRN shall be responsible for the psychiatric services provided in the agency’s Outpatient and Adolescent facilities and programs. He/She shall conduct psychiatric evaluations for clients who present with psychiatric or co-occurring symptoms, evaluate such clients for medication as clinically indicated and provide ongoing medication management where deemed necessary and appropriate. He/she shall also provide ongoing monitoring and consultation of clients’ psychiatric needs, update program staff as it relates to the clients’ status and progress and provide appropriate referral for emergency or more intensive psychiatric services as required.
